Welcome

Located 49 miles north of Yellowstone Park, lies the community of Big Sky a resort destination community spanning both Madison and Gallatin County.

The Big Sky Fire Department provides fire suppression, ALS/BLS response and transport, rescue, hazardous material response, public education, code enforcement, inspection and other services as the public may need.  This service is provided from 2 stations located in the Big Sky.  Our response area covers approximately 52 square miles serving a population of roughly 1200 year round residents.
